Please pray for Steven as he travels to Ukraine to teach on worship and spiritual formation. This two week trip will include teaching at the Music in Worship Conference (May 9-11) hosted by Ukrainian Evangelical Theological Seminary (UETS) and teaching at a couple of seminaries.
About the Host Seminary
UETS was founded in 1992, and is the only non-denominational seminary (undergraduate and graduate) in Ukraine. It also is the only residential seminary, with 70+ students on-campus, with 400+ pastors and Christian workers who come four times a year to study part-time.
Their mission? Strengthening the church and transforming society.
UETS is involved in so many areas with their music ministry, theology, and psychology undergraduate degrees, and graduate programs in counseling, leadership, and urban mission. Students come from both Eastern Europe and Central Asia to study and be equipped to lead the Church.
About the Music in Worship Conference
Since 2013, my friend Fred has been able to come alongside and help UETS raise their standards musically and spiritually through adding courses on worship essentials and worship theology and attracting new students through the Music in Worship conferences.
Fred invited me to join a team to teach at this year’s conference – a team composed of people from Ukraine, United Kingdom, Germany, and the U.S. We are expecting over 300 people (leaders and teams) to attend the conference.

We do ask for prayer:
• effective preparation for my teaching sessions
• more registrants from Ukraine as they make their decision to come with their worship teams
• peace and efficiency for the staff in Kyiv as they prepare
• insight and discernment for the international and national teachers/clinicians as we prepare
• safety and health for all involved
• provision of the $2900 more needed for the trip
• no drama!
